TRAC does not offer a drop-in service to the general public. If you have a question about your rights and responsibilities as a tenant, please review our navigation tool to your right. To help you efficiently find answers to your legal questions, we have grouped our content pages into the following categories:
- Starting a Tenancy
- During a Tenancy
- Ending a Tenancy
- Dispute Resolution (BC’s Tenant-Landlord “Court”)
- Type of Tenant
- Type of Housing
If you cannot find the help you need through our website, you can call our Tenant Infoline at 604-255-0546 or 1-800-665-1185.
Our hours of operation are:
- Monday: 1:00pm-5:00pm
- Tuesday: 1:00pm-5:00pm
- Wednesday: 5:30pm-8:30pm
- Thursday: 1:00pm-5:00pm
- Friday: 1:00pm-5:00pm
Please note that as of November 7th, we are having issues with calls being dropped. If your call is dropped, please give us a call back or contact us via our page on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/tracbc/.
TRAC offers free legal education workshops to tenants and advocates across BC. If your group is interested in requesting a workshop from a TRAC facilitator, please fill out as much of this TRAC Workshop Request Form as possible and email it to Emma Lazo at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also reach Emma at 604-255-3099 ext. 225 if you have any questions about requesting a workshop.
Each TRAC workshop features a plain language PowerPoint presentation, Q&A period, and hardcopy publication distribution. Participants are also educated on how to access TRAC’s other services, such as our Tenant Infoline (1-800-665-1185), website and online course – Renting It Right (www.rentingitright.ca).
